７月22日の夜、色とりどりのコスチュームに身を包んだ3,500人余りの若者たちが、リズムに乗ってダイナミックに踊り、23日の夜、宇和島湾では盛大に花火が打ち上げられます。
Fireworks & "Gaiya" Carnival
The carnival is performed on the eve of the Great Warei Shrine Festival together with grand fire-works. More than 3,500 youngsters in elaborate costumes parade the main street dancing dynamically, and the fireworks are lavishly displayed at the Uwajima Bay. Both events accelerate the festive mood all the more.
優雅な旋律、しぐさに感じる、宇和島情緒
宇和島お
どりは、明るく優雅な宇和島おんどに合わせて踊る、うわじま牛鬼まつりの踊り。
さんさ踊りは藩政時代より歌い継がれた宇和島さんさに振りを付けたもの。
"Sansa" Dance & "Uwajima" Dance
The dancing postures of "Sansa" Dance were choreographed after the local "Sansa" ballad, which had come down from the Edo era. On the other hand, Uwajima Dance is performed along "Uwajima Ondo" folk song on the dｓay of "Uwajima Ushi-oni Matsuri" Festival. The dancers parade the main street.
